Part 2:

lornamatic: mike and I were on the phone with dell for about an hour and a half
albtrssp: were they trying to troubleshoot it?
lornamatic: no, it caught on fire
lornamatic: there wasn't much to troubleshoot
albtrssp: 'turn on the machine holding down F4'
albtrssp: 'uhh, the machine caught on fire'
albtrssp: 'ok, then try the boot disk'
albtrssp: 'uhh, the machine caught fire'
lornamatic: LOLOL
albtrssp: 'hmm...did you install any software recently?'

albtrssp: :-)
albtrssp: 'let me check with my manager'
albtrssp: 'we need you to run this diagnostic software on your machine...it'll take three days to run, so call us back when it's done'
albtrssp: it seems that once you can finally wade through the seven planes of dell tech support hell, they'll take care of you
