A fat little caterpillar has chosen to make his cocoon between the screen and glass doors to Kevin's office. It's amazing to watch his changes happen, and because he is pressed up against the glass, we have a perfect little window into his metamorphosis. Last week he turned from a caterpillar into a fat little sausage-shaped pupa, and then two little dark veins appeared along his sides, which are now forming into his wings. Today he appears slightly thicker, and pointed on top. It's the first day he has started to resemble a chrysalis shape.
Since returning from a week of excitement working in LA, I am also starting to feel changes inside, including the need to cocoon for a while, and see what emerges.
As always, a promise for photos or artwork soon - and as always, "soon" is a very relative term...
